If your pet could have been an historical (or hysterical) figure, who would she or he have been? The above client chose Lafayette for one dog and Alexander Hamilton for the other. These are painted on two separate 5x7 canvas flats, but I painted them to be at the same battlefield so that side by side there would be some fun continuity! I used a distressed double frame in charcoal with paned glass from Amazon ($15.99), and the finished product was a hit! So let's brainstorm some ideas. I discount for more than one favorite pet!
The above painting was done to memorialize Marcy, a beloved chocolate lab, who had recently passed away. It has been placed near the owner's pool where she loved to take a daily swim.

This adorable dog and her "lovebird brother" were done for a local florist who wanted to have his beloved living pets memorialized on Santorini stone for his fire place mantle. The first photo shoes her picture and then the stone art piece.

Welcome to my Studio on Lake Linganore near the Catoctin Mountains in Maryland!
This was a custom piece for a dear friend and colleague who had a special photo of an Irish cottage and garden she loved.
The cliffs of Ireland are like no other, and some of my very Irish family is from the west coast of Ireland where the scenery is breathtaking.

My paternal Grandfather's family hailed from County Tipperary. It's typical to see stone fences going on for miles, flowers blooming along the roadsides and people and their dogs riding home along peaceful country lanes. I am happy to paint a favorite scene that represents your ancestry!

Some of my favorite memories as a kid were spending the month of August with family and friends on Long Island, NY. The Northfork on the Peconic Bay is one of the prettiest places on earth. What one is most special to you?

The Delaware and Maryland coast hold a very special place in my heart. We brought our teen/young adult kids there for many summers as we blended together as a new family starting in 2003. Do you have special memories of vacations, too? Let me capture them for you on stone, wood, slate or canvas!

Both sides of my Mother's family were from County Cork at the very southern tip of Ireland. It has beautiful coastal landscape, and fishing and farming are how lots of people made their living back in the day. This scene also reminds me of New England fishing villages.

This treasured family garden plaque had seen years of weathering the elements. The owner wanted to preserve some of the "personality" so the request was to repaint the lettering and the shamrock to restore it and bring back the color and luster.

My husband and I fell in love with the Dingle Peninsula on the western coast not far from Killarney where some of my ancestors came from in the 1700's. It is a truly magical place with scenes like these nestled along the coastline. Have you visited a place that captured your heart?

A woman who hosts a animal lovers Facebook page commissioned me to create a one of a kind memorial to her two beloved pigeons who had passed a few years ago: Buddy and Wings.
She sent me pictures of them in flights as well as stills so I could get a good idea of what they looked like.

These smaller houses make very cute tree ornaments - about 3-4" tall.
We worked together to ensure that the color choices were personal, and that my interpretations were “spot on” & accurate.

Birdhouses can be a delightful decorating option for your covered porch, deck, patio or sun room. This one was done for someone who loves sunflowers & dragonflies. A set can be customized and mounted on barn wood to hang on a wall.
She keeps this memorial to Buddy and Wings on her desk so that she can enjoy it every day. Very special birds indeed.

Unicorns are most every child’s favorite mythical friend and companion. So creating a little
magical house where they can play makes it all the more fun.
Choosing the right colors to make it a very personal Homestead is important, and I work with parents and the kids to make it just right! And the darling white picket fence and “landscaping” add to the curb appeal!
This particular house was created for our youngest granddaughter. We actually created a storybook to go with the house called”Avery’s Unicorn”. She helped write the story line.
The storybook that can go with the house can be about anything you’d like it to be. This one had Luna the Unicorn flying around PopPop and Grandma’s house at the Lake.

This particular stone was to create a shared memory of siblings who found each other later in life through Ancestry.com. It is fashioned after a photo of an older bother an two younger sisters looking out at the ocean.
This piece was created just for fun, and aimed at promoting peacefulness, relaxation and calmness in the eyes of the beholder.

This piece was commissioned by a friend in Tampa, FL as a birthday gift for her Mom who loves cat. She lives in a townhouse and this cityscape was the perfect choice.
